Electrical Distribution Design Engineer

This onsite opportunity with ADB Companies Inc in Pacific, MO offers a competitive hourly wage of $28, hands-on design work for underground and overhead utility lines, and nationwide travel. You will collaborate with construction teams, engineering colleagues, and customers to ensure designs are safe and accurate, supporting essential infrastructure. The role is based at the corporate headquarters in an office environment.

Responsibilities

• Visit underground and overhead construction sites to identify optimal routes for new utilities
• Create construction drawings aligned with project requirements
• Open existing electrical equipment and document current field conditions
• Perform detailed calculations to establish design standards and specifications, making corrections when needed
• Inspect installations and monitor operations to ensure compliance with design, equipment specifications and safety standards
• Engage with the public and homeowners to discuss design needs for current and future projects
• Prepare and present designs to internal leadership, team members, and external customers
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

• 0 to 3 years of design engineering experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
