Electrical Engineer

Denken Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Infotainment and Connectivity Hardware team for a self-driving vehicle. This on-site role is based in Foster City and involves Bay Area and international travel. Responsibilities

• Be hands-on in diagnosing issues wherever they occur, driving design updates, and enabling scalable solutions
• Define electrical component and system requirements, lead discussions with suppliers, and oversee drawings, requirement validation, and change requests
• Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, firmware, and software teams as well as system operators to iterate on current designs and develop future solutions
• Perform root-cause analysis during development, validation, build, and deployment, including detailed log reviews and component investigations
• Support the development and execution of system and component level validation test plans
• Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to mature components and support vehicle build, bring-up, and test activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical component and system design and troubleshooting
• Experience taking a part or assembly from concept through production, coordinating with external suppliers, and managing deliverables across multiple projects
• Automotive networks experience (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, A2B) or experience in aerospace or safety-critical industries
• Experience with on-board digital interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and I2S
• Experience with electrical testing and EMI/EMC testing
