Job Description
The MOHR Enterprises LLC is hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer in Gulfport, MS for a hybrid role. This position supports building design projects across education, municipal, commercial, and institutional markets, with a workflow centered on producing electrical drawings and construction documentation. You will work within a small electrical team where your contributions stay visible, in a collaborative MEP environment with mentorship and room to grow into greater project ownership.
What You’ll Do
Own electrical design work from concept through construction for building projects. The day-to-day includes creating drawings directly in AutoCAD and/or Revit, developing core documentation, and coordinating design inputs with the broader project team.
- Design electrical systems for building projects from concept through construction
- Create drawings personally using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Develop one-lines, panel schedules, power plans, lighting layouts, and specifications
- Design fire alarm, low voltage, communications, security, and access control systems
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and existing condition reviews
- Support short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural teams, and clients
- Review submittals and support construction administration
- Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and technical priorities
What You Bring
- 3+ years of electrical design experience preferred
- Building electrical systems experience in MEP, A&E, architectural engineering, or building design
- Strong hands-on AutoCAD drafting/design experience
- Revit MEP experience is a plus
- Experience with power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage, panel schedules, and construction documents
Compensation and Work Style
- Location: Gulfport, MS 39507
- Pay: $90,000-$110,000+ base depending on experience
- Work style: Hybrid flexibility / relocation considered
