Electrical Engineer (3 yrs Experience Required)

This onsite Electrical Engineer role is based in Bedford, OH, and centers on leading the design, execution, and delivery of custom automation systems within industrial and manufacturing environments. The position manages project lifecycles from kickoff to closeout, with a salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Establish project scope and deliverables at kickoff.
• Create and manage comprehensive project schedules and task lists.
• Lead design and equipment reviews to confirm alignment with requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to control timelines, costs, and resources.
• Guide project closeouts and post-project reviews.
• For Mechanical Engineers: produce fabrication models in SolidWorks; design piping, ducting, or mechanical layouts in AutoCAD.
• For Electrical Engineers: prepare schematics, panel layouts, and conduit diagrams using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
• Specify components and materials per project needs.
• Engage in design reviews with sales and customers to ensure alignment.
• Support assembly and on-site installation activities.
• Manage startup tasks and address on-site technical challenges.
• Ensure deliverables meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field) is required.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of direct project management or team leadership experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Visio is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
