Job Description
RG Vanderweil Engineers offers a hybrid work model in New York City, NY, with the option to work onsite and remotely for up to two days per week. This Electrical Engineer role supports the design of building electrical infrastructure across a diverse portfolio that includes EV and PV distribution, life sciences facilities, academic environments, commercial spaces, casinos, airports, clean rooms and labs. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sr. Engineers and Project Managers to understand project goals and requirements
- Participate in meetings with team members, clients, project architects, and other internal and external disciplines
- Contribute to designing the building electrical infrastructure, including medium voltage and low voltage service, main distribution equipment, and building distribution equipment
- Document design calculations and design path decisions
- Model electrical distribution systems with our analysis software
- Conduct local site surveys and CA field visits
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- Understanding of NEC, IBC and IECC
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- FE or PE is a plus
- Revit knowledge is a plus
