Electrical /Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Everson Tesla is seeking an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team in Nazareth, PA. The role focuses on designing and manufacturing high voltage coils and rotating electric machines for defined customers and contracts, while supporting product design and revisions through manufacturing and testing documentation and compliance.
This position includes hands-on collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and assembly technicians to move from design intent through production, testing, and shipment-ready documentation.
Role and scope
- Design and support the manufacturing of high voltage coils and rotating electric machines for specific customer requirements and contracts.
- Interface on other programs as required.
- Support product design and revisions through manufacturing and testing documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design of a product.
- Develop drawings and manufacturing instructions, including travelers, to provide accurate direction to supervisors and assembly technicians.
- Specify test equipment and develop procedures to test the product.
- Design and develop tooling needed to manufacture the product.
- Create quotation proposals for customers, including material, labor, and tooling pricing required to manufacture the product.
- Work closely with other engineers, supervisors, and assembly technicians to manufacture and test the product.
- Assure the manufactured product meets all customer requirements.
- Maintain compliance with internal and customer document control requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assemble supporting manufacturing and test documentation required to ship the product.
- Support the design of new products and product revisions.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Experience and/or course work in designing, evaluating, building components used in motors, stators, rotors, and other rotating equipment desired, but not required.
- Experience and/or course work in electromagnetics is a plus.
- Experience with Curtiss-Wright is a plus.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience with 3-D modeling software; Solid Works is preferred.
- Knowledge of Ansys, MATLAB, Excel VBA, Python, and MS Project is a plus but not a requirement.
- Ability to work constructively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including communication with management and manufacturing technicians.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Ability to work with electrical test equipment and mechanical tools.
- Willingness to travel some for product support and to support sales team on customer visits as required.
- Because products are installed in DOD equipment, all candidates must be a United States citizen.
Reporting
- The Electrical Engineer reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
Schedule, location, and type
- Full-time
- Eight-hour shift, Monday to Friday
- Work location: In person
- Ability to commute/relocate to Nazareth, PA 18064 (required)
Travel
- Up to 25% travel is preferred.
Compensation and education
- Salary range: USD 70,000 to 75,000 per year
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering
