Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join its EMC/E3 specialty in Littleton, Colorado, onsite. This role focuses on supporting design, analysis, verification, and test planning to ensure robust EMC performance for complex space systems. You will collaborate with the enterprise EMC Engineering group to advance electromagnetic engineering in a development and production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a development and production setting to assist in designing and maturing technically complex systems
• Apply and expand electromagnetic engineering skills to translate customer needs into total system derived requirements and solutions
• Conduct functional and timeline analyses, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface-definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specs
• Support requirements verification by compiling, organizing, executing, evaluating, and documenting the compliance verification process for EMI performance at both the package and system levels
• Participate in and support EMC test planning, system integration, and verification/validation of E3 components, test setups, and performance oversight while growing EMC expertise
• Collaborate within the enterprise EMC Engineering group and engage with EMC domain authorities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of Mil Std 461/464 requirements and the applicable test methods
• Foundational knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility theory
