Electronics Tech Support - Applications Engineer for Laser Systems

What you’ll do

• Ask the right questions to understand each customer’s technical needs and business goals, handling most interactions remotely via email, phone, and video calls.
• Simulate customer setups on the bench and perform accurate, complex electronics troubleshooting to resolve integration and performance issues.
• Provide written and verbal support with excellent clarity for both US and international customers.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with technical troubleshooting and help integrating OEM drivers and temperature controllers for laser system applications.
• Interpret and work through issues using schematics, applying knowledge to analog and digital circuit troubleshooting.
• Work effectively in a dynamic environment, managing shifting priorities while maintaining customer trust.

What you bring

• 2-year degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) and two years of experience in B2B customer service.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot basic analog and digital circuits and read schematics.
• Experience in an optics lab.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW and USB interface software is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Electronics troubleshooting experience: 1 year preferred.
