Engineer I, Electrical Systems Design
Job Description
Support the design and customer-facing technical work for medium-voltage electrical power distribution systems at Schneider Electric’s Mount Juliet, TN onsite facilities.
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain technical quality of design deliverables, including drawings, bills of material, and services
- Deliver designs that align with project objectives
- Drive continuous improvement across technical knowledge, efficiency, processes, quality, and service level
- Collaborate with Design Engineering and the Technical Antenna team to ensure design intent and safety considerations are maintained
- Provide customer support as part of day-to-day technical coverage
- Consult on application of products and solutions with end users, consultants, contractors, and internal teams including sales, quotation, and project execution
- Partner with factory support functions such as production, supply chain, purchasing, and customer service to improve customer experience
Main Activities
- Work on medium-voltage power distribution design for systems serving the ANSI/IEEE, UL, and North American market (2.4–38 kV)
- Design using computer aided design tools for protective relays, PLC controls, and power monitoring
- Create documentation such as one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts of medium-voltage products and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
- US citizen or those with the legal right to work in the US with no sponsorship
- Aptitude and ability to succeed in a manufacturing environment
- Aptitude and ability to learn medium voltage switchgear and electrical engineering power system protection & design

Salary & Work Location

- Pay range: USD 86,400 - 129,600 per year
- Pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives
- Compensation range applies to candidates located within the United States
