Job Description
Freezer Engineering, LLC is hiring an early-career Electrical Engineer I to support real capital projects in the industrial space. In this onsite role in Englewood, CO, you will work alongside senior engineers on electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and controls design, with opportunities for field verification and documentation updates.
This position is built for engineers who enjoy hands-on design work, drawing production in AutoCAD, and collaborating across project teams to meet client requirements and applicable standards.
Role Summary
- Onsite electrical engineering support for industrial power distribution, instrumentation, and controls design
- Work with senior engineers on skid-based process system instrumentation and controls
- Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation, and proposals
Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical power distribution system design for industrial and process facilities, including motor control centers, switchgear, and low/medium voltage systems
- Develop and revise electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD
- Support instrumentation and controls design for skid-based process systems
- Help with field verification, as-built documentation, and drawing revisions
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs align with project requirements and applicable codes and industry standards (including NEC)
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation and proposals
- Occasionally support site visits and field data collection based on project needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from US schooling
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- AutoCAD proficiency (required)
- Exposure to oil & gas, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small-team environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits
Compensation and Location
- Location: Englewood, CO (in person)
- Salary: USD 65,000 to 90,000 per year
