Entry-Level Transportation Engineer

This entry-level Transportation Engineer role is based onsite in Birmingham, Alabama with AECOM. The position focuses on developing analytic and design capabilities, performing engineering tasks under supervision, and supporting data collection and analysis. The annual salary ranges from USD 65,000 to 80,000.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic and design capabilities as part of project work.
• Perform engineering design under the guidance of an experienced engineer.
• Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Gather and analyze data under supervision.
• Utilize computer software as a tool to solve basic engineering problems.
• Complete work within the established budget and schedule under supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
