Experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer (+7 Years Experience Req)

The role focuses on designing DSP algorithms, implementing firmware across bare metal, RTOS, and Linux environments, and analyzing performance with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop fast, efficient DSP algorithms for embedded processors.
• Architect and implement firmware for bare metal, RTOS-based, and Linux environments.
• Evaluate algorithm performance by estimating processing resources such as MIPS, ROM, and RAM.
• Coordinate software and hardware development activities with other engineers, including prototyping, tuning algorithms, and performance testing.
• Research new technologies and assess their integration into VOCAL's custom products for improvement.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded software.
• Embedded software and C programming experience of 5+ years (Required).
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of working experience can substitute for a degree.
• US citizenship required due to government contracting.
