Facilities Automation Engineer (no visa sponsorship available)

Proactive Global is seeking a Facilities Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives across multiple locations, coordinating with operations and safety teams to influence project success. The role emphasizes automation engineering, capital project support, and vendor collaboration, with the ability to travel up to 60% and a base on site in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Manages automation engineering activities across all sites in collaboration with operations leadership and safety requirements.
• Supports assessment and implementation of capital projects with internal and external partners.
• Engages with vendors to select products, conduct engineering reviews, and procure solutions.
• Works with project management to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
• Applies lean principles and tools to eliminate waste throughout the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with professional engineering certification (PE).
• Degree can be in architecture, mechanical, civil, structural, or electrical disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Compensation

Base salary: USD 100,522 per year

Location and travel
