Forward Deployed Front End Engineer - Autonomous Systems Control

This role is a forward deployed software engineering position focused on building and integrating Command and Control (C2) software for autonomous systems supporting operational and tactical missions. The work spans full-stack development, deployment across cloud and hybrid environments, and integration with Palantir and AI/autonomy components.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, integrate, and deploy mission-critical full-stack software solutions for C2 of multi-modal autonomous systems.
• Integrate full-stack Autonomy C2 solutions into the Palantir platform and connect with AI and autonomy software, including sensor and data fusion services, agentic decision-making engines, and robotic control systems.
• Deliver working systems across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid-cloud environments, addressing challenges related to deployment, integration, security, and user experience.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams across sensing and fusion, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, user experience, and hardware and robotics to deliver well integrated solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience integrating and deploying software to cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of: JS/TS, Python, Rust, or Java.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.
• Strong integration skills, including deployment experience, CI and automation tools, working with APIs and documentation, and knowledge of networking, security and authentication, and Linux/GNU.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s (or significant relevant work experience) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
• Ability to travel 25% to 75%, varying by location and team.

What We Value

• Proven experience in software development of user-facing full-stack systems, with experience developing user interfaces for graphical, textual, and/or verbal AI and large generative models considered helpful (not required).

Compensation, Clearance, and Work Policy

• Salary: USD 135,000 - 200,000 per year.
• Equity: RSUs.
• Visa policy: Not open to any visas (for example, US citizens and Green Card holders).
• Clearance: Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance is required.
• Work policy: Hybrid work.
• Location: Hybrid remote in Seattle, WA 98101 with roles also listed in Seattle, Palo Alto, Washington, DC, New York City, NY, and Denver, CO.
• Position type: Full-time.
• Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year.
