GhostEye Radar Lead Systems Engineer

Raytheon is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to act as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the GhostEye V120 contract within the GhostEye program. In this onsite role in Tewksbury, MA, you will support LTAMDS efforts and collaborate closely with the Program Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), with occasional domestic and international travel depending on program needs.

This position is centered on translating customer requirements into total system solutions through architecture, interfaces, requirements allocation, verification planning, and rigorous systems engineering process execution across the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the program
• Lead the definition, development, and implementation of system architectures, algorithms, and interfaces for GE V120 capabilities
• Manage configuration activities, conduct functional and timeline analysis, perform detail trade studies, and lead requirements allocation and interface definition studies to convert customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Partner with the Program Chief Engineer to support alignment across the engineering team to cost and schedule
• Provide technical direction to multi-disciplinary program teams and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the lifecycle
• Oversee development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans
• Coordinate system engineering activities spanning requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing
• Conduct system level trade studies and performance analysis
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations
• Support program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Perform logical, systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions while acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints, including architectural exploration
• Decompose customer specifications and system requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, generating verification criteria and plans

Minimum Requirements

• Typically requires a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related Systems Engineering or Multi-Disciplined Engineering
• Experience leading teams and IPTs, using tools and metrics to manage activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional management
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Security Clearance Type: Secret (Current)
• Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on previous programs
• Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products
• Experience preparing customer and/or management-level briefings
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to customers and senior leadership
• Experience with schedule development, action item management, requirement change management, and development/progress metrics
• Experience working with external customers, including USG or FMS partners
• EVMS Certified (or equivalent)
• Knowledge navigating the organization and working with stakeholders across the company to develop solutions to key program challenges
• Technical leadership and guidance of multi-disciplined teams in the design and development of system requirements and design

Compensation

USD 132,400 - 251,600 per year.
