Ground Software Engineer Stf

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a Ground Software Engineer at the Staff level to join a mission-focused software team dedicated to maintaining critical ground systems. This onsite role requires US citizenship and a TS/SCI clearance, and sits within an Agile DevSecOps environment where engineers design and sustain object oriented software using a mix of Java, C#, Rust, Angular, and Python. The team collaborates across software, systems, and test engineers to drive modernization, security, automation, and scalable solutions for space operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain object oriented ground system software applications using Java, C#, Rust, Angular, Python
• Support modernization efforts aimed at greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team of software, systems, and test engineers in an Agile Development environment

Requirements

• Deep software development background with a track record of successful project delivery
• Experience developing ground subsystems
• Cloud and containerization experience with a solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability design
• Experience developing microservices
• Expertise in Scaled Agile methodologies and strong communication for effective collaboration across Agile teams
• Current TS clearance prior to start and ability to obtain SCI
• US Citizenship required; government security clearance required
• Education: BS degree
• Minimum experience: 5 years

Work Schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over five days to condensed options, which provide additional time away from the office alongside Paid Time Off benefits.

Pay Rate

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
