HVAC Controls Engineer – Building Automation

Controls Engineer to design and develop building automation systems for commercial projects in Columbus, OH with hybrid options; salary USD 90,000 - 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and building automation control systems aligned with project plans
• Develop system layouts, wiring schematics, and control drawings
• Prepare submittals, as-built drawings, and operations and maintenance manuals
• Select control devices and verify designs meet project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams
• Support integration across HVAC, lighting, access control, and related building systems
• Assist with BAS graphics and interface development

Requirements

• Experience in HVAC controls or building automation system design
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Engineering degree or related field preferred
