Job Description

Siemens is hiring an Industrial AI Engineer to build and scale production-ready Industrial AI capabilities for the Dallas–Fort Worth region, based onsite in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role, you will deploy AI models in live factory settings, validate outcomes using production data, and support adoption on the shop floor.

The position focuses on taking industrial data from operational environments and turning it into reliable, integrated AI solutions that improve manufacturing performance. You will work across engineering, data, security, and factory stakeholders to ensure the solutions are dependable under real-world constraints and scalable across plants.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy AI models that tackle industrial and manufacturing challenges using data-driven insights and decision-making.
  • Use time-series shopfloor data and MES/IT data to design and build AI solutions aligned with real production processes and operational needs.
  • Perform data preparation and engineering, then develop models that use contextualized industrial data effectively.
  • Deploy AI models into real factory environments, maintaining reliable performance under conditions such as data variability, latency, and workflow integration.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Data Architects, System Architects, software developers, and factory teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, reusable, and integrated into industrial systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners to help implement standardized Industrial AI solutions.
  • Continuously validate and refine AI models using production data and feedback to deliver measurable operational and business improvements.
  • Lead scaling across plants by enabling repeatable deployment patterns and contributing to organizational standardization of Industrial AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or automation.
  • 2+ years of experience programming in relevant languages such as Python, R, or Java, and using AI/ML frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, with hands-on machine learning model building and testing.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying and validating AI models in industrial or production environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in cross-functional, customer-facing teams and adapting solutions to changing requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience working with data-driven systems in operational or industrial contexts.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to support customer teams during critical deployment periods.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Technologies

  • Python, R, Java
  • TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn
  • MES/IT
  • Time-series shopfloor data
  • Siemens Senseye, Siemens Industrial Edge
  • AI/IoT platforms
  • OT/IT integration
  • Cloud-based AI deployment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including translating complex technical ideas into practical industrial applications.
  • Experience in production manufacturing settings, including piloting, validating, and refining AI solutions based on operational feedback.
  • Familiarity with Industrial AI platforms and ecosystems, including Siemens solutions such as Senseye and Industrial Edge or comparable AI/IoT platforms, along with industrial automation systems, OT/IT integration, and cloud-based AI deployment.
  • Knowledge of data preparation, feature engineering, AI model evaluation, and compliance, safety, and regulatory considerations for AI in industrial environments.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams in deadline-driven environments, supporting continuous improvement through performance monitoring, model drift mitigation, model refinement, and scaling across deployments.
  • Proven ability to share deployment learnings and collaborate with factory teams to drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions.
