Industrial AI Engineer
Job Description
Siemens seeks an Industrial AI Engineer for onsite work in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to build, deploy, and scale Industrial AI solutions that improve manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI models that tackle industrial and manufacturing challenges using data-driven insights and decision-making.
- Design and build AI solutions using time-series shopfloor data and MES/IT data, aligned to real production processes and operational needs.
- Own data preparation, including engineering/feature work, and execute model development that effectively uses contextualized industrial data.
- Deploy AI models into live factory environments and ensure reliable performance under data variability, latency, and operational workflow integration constraints.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Data Architects, System Architects, software developers, and factory teams to keep solutions scalable, reusable, and integrated.
- Work with external partners to support implementation of standardized Industrial AI solutions.
- Continuously validate and refine AI models using production data and feedback to deliver measurable improvements in operational performance and business outcomes.
- Lead scaling efforts across plants by enabling repeatable deployment patterns and supporting organization-wide Industrial AI standardization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years developing and deploying AI/ML models in production environments, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or automation contexts.
- 2+ years programming with relevant languages: Python, R, or Java; and using common AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, including hands-on model building and testing.
- 2+ years experience deploying and validating AI models in industrial or other production environments.
- 2+ years experience working in cross-functional, customer-facing teams and adapting to evolving requirements.
- 2+ years experience working with data-driven systems in operational or industrial environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer teams during critical deployments.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to communicate complex technical concepts as practical Industrial AI applications.
- Experience in production manufacturing environments, including piloting, validating, and refining AI solutions based on operational production feedback.
- Familiarity with Industrial AI platforms and ecosystems, including Siemens solutions such as Senseye and Industrial Edge or comparable AI/IoT platforms, plus exposure to industrial automation and OT/IT integration, including cloud-based AI deployment.
- Knowledge of data preparation, feature engineering, AI model evaluation, and relevant considerations for compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements for AI in industrial environments.
- Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams in deadline-driven settings, supporting continuous improvement through performance monitoring, model drift mitigation, model refinement, and scaling across deployments.
- Track record sharing deployment learnings and collaborating with factory teams to drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions.
