Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and instrumentation for HVAC and related mechanical systems, with a focus on chilled water and condenser water networks
- Own project design and system integration from concept through deployment
- Develop and maintain documentation such as submittals, control panels, network diagrams, and P&ID layouts
- Select instrumentation aligned with application requirements and specifications
- Choose hardware suitable for Allen Bradley PLC platforms (5580, 5590, Micro800, 1734, 1769)
- Gather information to enable full integration of all control equipment
- Collaborate with third-party Mechanical, Electrical, and Architectural design consultants
- Develop control schemes for chilled water and condenser water systems
- Coordinate with the project team to meet schedules and budgets
- Act as the technical point of contact and advisor to internal and external customers
Requirements
- 2-4 year technical or engineering degree and 3-5 years of related industry experience in instrumentation, HVAC controls, and/or industrial control systems
- Ability to work effectively with minimal oversight
- Strong technical aptitude
- Willingness to travel up to 10 percent to engineering offices and job sites
- Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate with clients, other contractors, and internal teams
