IT Data Engineer IV

The IT Data Engineer IV role is an onsite position in Westborough, MA, with Scope Services. It focuses on managing Gas SCADA and RTU software and hardware, including RTU programming and Aveva Enterprise SCADA 2023 screens, while troubleshooting SCADA issues and supporting capital projects through the full lifecycle to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of SCADA system software and field RTU software to ensure reliability and performance.
• Analyze needs, research solutions, develop and implement SCADA enhancements.
• Define and maintain SCADA data structures and definitions within Aveva Enterprise SCADA 2023.
• Create SCADA operational screens, generate system reports, and manage historical and real-time data stores.
• Program and deploy installation of new and upgraded field RTUs and related telecommunications.
• Administer remote communications links including leased lines, cellular modems, radio, and fiber optic connections.
• Collaborate with IT Networking and Security to ensure a dependable and secure Gas SCADA network.
• Generate reports and operational data for multiple departments and external agencies.
• Provide user training and encourage participation in system development and innovation.
• Design and implement RTU programming to support field projects.
• Develop Aveva Enterprise SCADA 2023 screens.
• Troubleshoot SCADA systems to maintain uninterrupted Gas operations.
• Evaluate and integrate current gas monitoring equipment and telecommunications options.
• Support company capital projects requiring SCADA implementation through the full lifecycle until final commissioning.
