Junior Full Stack Software Engineer

Visionist, Inc. is hiring a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer for a fully funded PRIME contract. The role focuses on building and maintaining full-stack web applications while also supporting agentic tooling and workflow automation for mission operations and analytic workflows.

Role focus

You will contribute to end-to-end development for mission-critical applications, help develop tools that gather and curate information from multiple data sources, and expand automation efforts that support improved mission efficiency. Collaboration with customers is a core part of the work, including learning their workflows and refining solutions based on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications that support mission operations and analytic workflows
• Support the development of agentic tools that gather, organize, and curate information packages from multiple data sources
• Expand existing workflow automation efforts to streamline processes and improve mission efficiency
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand their workflows, learn and improve upon customer tradecraft, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Work with customer leadership, analysts, and developers to gather requirements, implement solutions, and incorporate feedback
• Coordinate with other development teams to support shared technical approaches and mission requirements across customer groups

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (additional 4 years of experience may substitute for degree)
• 3 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with full-stack software development, with an emphasis on AI workflows
• Experience soliciting and incorporating customer feedback into software development
• Experience programming in JavaScript and Python

Location and compensation

This role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. The salary range is USD 126,500 - 176,000 per year. Salary for this position, along with additional compensation options, will be determined on an individual basis following the interview process, considering factors such as years of experience, skills, education/certifications, contract specifications, and market conditions.
