Lead AI Engineer w/ RAG and Python

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company is hiring a Lead AI Engineer to help deliver AI solutions that support enterprise transformation. This hybrid role focuses on building and deploying Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and model orchestration frameworks.

Based in New York, NY (hybrid), you will design scalable and secure AI systems, partnering across engineering and product to move from architecture through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions intended to drive enterprise transformation
• Architect scalable, secure, and innovative AI systems using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and model orchestration frameworks

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with machine learning engineering and AI system development
• Strong proficiency in Python and R
• Deep knowledge of LLMs and RAG pipeline architectures
• Expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and model orchestration frameworks
• Ability to implement secure and compliant API solutions
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers

Job Details

• Employment: Permanent FTE- Direct Hire
• Compensation: USD 126,000 - 180,000 per year (base; pay rate $120-$180k base DOE)
• Schedule: Hybrid, 3x a week onsite
• Onsite location: Holmdel NJ or NY
