Lead Engineer – PWB Layout and Electronic Design Engineer

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design team members including Circuit Design Engineers, Materials Scientists, Manufacturing Engineers and PWB Suppliers to align on layouts and feasibility
- Design high density, high speed printed wiring boards for avionics applications
- Apply experience with Siemens Mentor Expedition, Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro to develop layouts
- Define PWB stack ups and via structures that meet design requirements and align with supplier capabilities
- Create PWB parts, set layout constraints, perform parts placement, complete routing, and produce fabrication drawings and manufacturing data packages
- Maintain and improve Design for Manufacturing and enforce Design rule checks
- Select components and perform circuit design and schematic capture using Siemens Mentor Expedition, Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro
- Conduct electronic testing in the lab, including board bring up, multi card integration testing and pre qualification testing
- Develop requirements and conduct requirements reviews
- Perform design analysis for circuit performance with LTSPICE and conduct stress and derating analyses for components used in designs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of combined professional experience in PWB layout and circuit design using Siemens/Mentor Expedition, Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
- Knowledge of PWB design and fabrication processes
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position
