Join JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City, onsite, as a Lead Infrastructure Software Engineer in the Low Latency Trading group. You will design compute infrastructure, drive production grade software for a low latency Electronic Trading environment, and lead architecture, automation, and operational stability initiatives. The role offers a competitive base salary of USD 152,000 to 215,000 per year, with the potential for incentive compensation based on role, experience, and location.

Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative software solutions, oversee design and development, and troubleshoot complex problems with an ability to move beyond routine approaches
- Collaborate directly with Lines of Business to understand compute space needs within a low latency Electronic Trading environment
- Direct strategies for server hardware platforms, server and OS tuning, automation, and the infrastructure application lifecycle
- Serve as Design Authority for the compute infrastructure application stack, including build/configuration management and log and metric aggregation
- Interface with hardware and software vendors on product roadmaps to shape the next generation of Electronic Trading Platform infrastructure
- Develop secure, high quality production code and review or debug code written by others
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability within existing systems and information architecture
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote adoption of new and leading edge technologies

Requirements
- 7 years experience
- Hands on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Understanding of IPv4 networking including OSI model, unicast/broadcast/multicast, routing, and network segmentation mechanisms
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
- In depth knowledge of the financial services industry IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
