Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack Engineer in the Connected Banking - Personal Financial Management group at JPMorganChase, onsite in New York, NY. The role centers on shaping architecture, developing, and advancing scalable, resilient software products.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements innovative software solutions, handling architecture, development, and debugging with the ability to approach problems beyond conventional methods.
• Produces secure, production-grade code and performs reviews and debugging of colleagues' work.
• Identifies and automates remediation of recurring issues to enhance operational stability of applications and systems.
• Leads the team in adopting enterprise authorized AI assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing consistent validation standards and promoting reuse of effective patterns.
• Leverages SDLC tools, including AI assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize the value delivered through automation.
• Guides evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, credentials, and applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new technologies.
• Fosters an inclusive team culture that emphasizes diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with a minimum of five years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Proven track record in leading the use of approved AI assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security requirements; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and Cassandra or any NoSQL database.
• Proficiency in front end technologies such as React/ReactJS, Redux, Angular/AngularJS, ExtJS, jQuery, or NodeJS.
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Comprehensive proficiency across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated capability within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile) and related software applications and processes.
• Hands-on cloud native experience with AWS.
