Job Description

This NS2 Data Analytics Engineer role centers on defining data architecture, building data models, and delivering analytics, dashboards, and AI use cases to guide business decisions while upholding data governance. The position is based in Newtown Square, PA or Herndon, VA with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 198,500 per year. A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytics, statistical models, metrics, reports, AI use cases, and dashboards using SAP BDC, SAP HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud, with clear documentation.
- Collaborate with business and application teams to define data strategies, build data flows, and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Outline a future data architecture that aligns with business goals and oversee the evolution of the existing architecture to optimize analytics performance using best practices.
- Provide guidance on master data architecture, data governance approaches, and data quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote reuse of existing data artifacts and maintain a single source of truth through governance and architecture decisions.
- Support organizational change management and agile transformations as analytics capabilities are established and refined.
- Proactively resolve complex issues, working independently and with teams to mitigate delivery risks and clearly communicate challenges.
- Design, implement, and document future-state data architecture and modeling solutions, leveraging relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases to support enterprise information management, BI, AI/ML, data science, and related business interests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and analytic data work, including RDBMS, ETL, data ingestion, and data modeling.
- Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and enterprise big data platforms across multi-data-center environments.
- Track record of developing or maintaining data models and analytics related to financial management, sales, cloud operations, customer success, or technology operations.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and modeling technologies and familiarity with SAP applications (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP BDC, SAP HANA, DF4A, SAC, C4S, ECC, S/4HANA, ServiceNow).
- Experience with large language models (LLMs), SAP Joule, and AI agents is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of master data management, metadata management, data modeling, and related tooling.
- Understanding of data security requirements for federal contractors (for example, NIST SP guidelines).
- Experience with ServiceNow data management features is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and in a hybrid setting with geographically dispersed teammates.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.

compensation and transparency
SAP communicates pay ranges to support a transparent and equitable culture. For this role, the annualized compensation range is USD 90,000 to 198,500, inclusive of base salary and incentive targets, with the final offer determined based on experience and qualifications.
