Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and operate software using advanced software security techniques in compliance with the technical reference architecture to enhance software systems
- Perform ongoing security testing and participate in code reviews to improve software security and features
- Debug, design, and code new software or modify existing software
- Provide and recommend engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
- Contribute across architecture levels and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with team members and exchange knowledge on secure coding practices
- Develop familiarity with new tools and best practices
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph required
- Twenty (20) years of experience in planning and leading Software Engineering efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
- Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Technologies
Relevant technologies include: Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, Solaris, Linux, Java, C, C++, RESTful services, infrastructure as code, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenSource (NoSQL) products, and continuous integration and deployment tools.
Highly Desired Skills
- Demonstrated experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
- Minimum six (6) years of demonstrated experience out of the most recent eight (8) years developing production software for Solaris or Linux environments

Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
