Responsibilities

• Engineering standards: stay current with departmental design guides, standards, codes, and BV policies; apply independent judgment to tasks
• Quality and continuous improvement: apply knowledge and comply with the BV quality program; ensure adherence where applicable
• Guide others: provide direction to teammates within the same project and discipline
• Support improvement efforts: contribute to continuous improvement and change management
• Engineering production: prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables
• Engineering production: conduct complex research and recommend equipment or material selections
• Engineering production: perform complex calculations following standard methods
• Engineering production: manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements
• Engineering production: plan and independently evaluate engineering techniques and criteria
• Engineering production: review lower level work or assignments
• Project leadership: oversee data collection and management for engineering work; lead smaller production teams; or serve as the responsible charge for a project
• Project coordination: actively coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects
• Client focus: identify key client interests on less complex projects
• Client focus: communicate client drivers to the project team and adapt approaches accordingly on less complex projects
• Business development support: may assist with pursuit activities
• Knowledge sharing and technology: recognized as a technical specialist with deep knowledge in a process or industry
• Project design: design a complete project of moderately complex scope within assigned practice areas
• People management: assist with performance management, mentoring, recognition, and corrective actions
• Administrative responsibilities: help ensure policies and procedures are implemented and communicated for the work group; support adherence to corporate and division programs; approve timesheets and expense reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in the candidate's home country or the country where they will practice
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws
