Palo Alto Cloud Security Engineer (AWS/Azure)
Job Description
Concordant, LLC is seeking a hands-on Palo Alto cloud security engineer to help shape secure cloud foundations from its Columbia, SC hybrid worksite. The role centers on designing, deploying, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure, leveraging Palo Alto VM-Series, Panorama, and F5 solutions to safeguard critical workloads, with a salary range of USD 118,524 to 123,724 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and sustain secure cloud infrastructures within AWS and Azure.
- Install, configure, and operate Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in cloud environments.
- Administer Palo Alto Panorama, managing device groups, templates, security policies, and centralized control.
- Define and implement Zero Trust security architectures and controls.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP LTM and ASM solutions.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, networking, and security issues.
- Establish logging, monitoring, auditing, and security controls to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable cloud solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud security architecture, deployments, configurations, and procedures.
- Participate in security reviews, infrastructure assessments, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of experience in network security and engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, scaling, troubleshooting, and optimizing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in AWS and Azure.
- Experience with Palo Alto Panorama administration, security policy management, threat prevention tuning, and log analysis.
- Proven track record implementing Zero Trust security architectures using Palo Alto technologies.
- 5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining F5 BIG-IP LTM environments.
- Experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure within AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of cloud security operations, architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, CMMC, CUI, or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
