Pipeline Systems Design & Delivery Engineer
Job Description
This role provides day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting, and project management for facility upgrades and technical maintenance within a defined operating area. The position supports both office-based work and field execution, with significant time spent on-site.
Responsibilities
- Manage field execution and financial stewardship for facility upgrades and technical maintenance work within a defined geographic or operating area, which may include terminals, pipeline systems, and salt dome storage facilities.
- Lead multiple projects in different stages of execution by applying project implementation processes, including scope definition, engineering design, estimate development, material and service procurement, schedule development, and field execution.
- Oversee projects typically up to $2M in appropriation.
- Provide multi-discipline technical support and troubleshooting for the operating area and collaborate with the Operating Business Team to develop, recommend, and implement practical solutions that improve utilization and management of area operating assets.
- Work with a range of facility equipment and mechanical- and civil-related assets, including pumps, piping, valves, flow meters, tanks, salt domes, flares, docks, foundations, and structures.
- Participate in operating area risk management activities.
- Spend 30% to 50% of time outside the office working with Operations personnel at field operating locations; field work may include travel and overnight stays, depending on work location and area of responsibility.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- Prior full-time engineering experience required.
- Leadership capability and ability to drive cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface with field personnel and senior management.
- Customer focus and a drive to deliver quality product.
- Excellent analytical skills.
What Role You Will Play On Our Team
