Principal Cyber Software Engineer

The Principal Cyber Software Engineer role at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems supports the design and development of specialized cyber software tools, including end-to-end data flow and tasking into those tools. This onsite position is based in Morrisville, NC, with support for multiple performance locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide custom software design and development of specialized tools and techniques.
• Design and develop end-to-end data flow and tasking into tools developed for the mission.
• Provide and/or author documentation and participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews using Government-prescribed software development procedures and processes.
• Develop Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments.
• Develop UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments.
• Support embedded or mobile platform development using proprietary, GOTS, or open-source build environments.
• Provide and/or author documentation and participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by Government software development procedures and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or network engineering with 4 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience; or PhD with 0 years of experience.
• Security clearance: Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and the ability to obtain another polygraph.
• Experience programming in Python or C/C++.
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Software analysis or reverse engineering.
• CNO development concepts, tools, and techniques.
• Unit testing frameworks and practices.
