Principal Electronics Engineer
Job Description
Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. invites applications for a Lead Principal Electronics Engineer to oversee applied research, design and development, testing, manufacturing support, and documentation of electrical products and systems in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of systems, products, and subsystems or circuits to meet specifications, cost targets, schedules, and quality goals.
- Diagnose design, field performance, reliability, and test-yield issues across a broad scope and implement corrective actions to address root causes.
- Own the success of the product or system in customer applications and drive necessary corrective actions to optimize performance.
- Adhere to key engineering procedures within the Product Development Process and Engineering Change Order workflows.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites and supply chain teams to deliver cost reductions, manufacturability enhancements, and quality improvements for existing products.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field; 10+ years of professional engineering experience with familiarity of medical practices and company policies/procedures.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring other engineers and technical staff.
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate in complex scenarios.

- Environment combines a noisy, fast paced power development lab with standard office settings.

- Domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

Compensation
- Starting pay range is USD 130,000 to USD 170,000 per year.
- Eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive Program.
