Job Description
Garver seeks a Process Engineer - Pumping Lead to guide a team and drive projects from concept through bid-ready documentation, focusing on pumping facilities for water and wastewater in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The role entails hands-on design work, vendor coordination, and regulatory liaison, with quality reviews of peers’ designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and direct projects from conceptual planning to bid-ready documentation, including pump stations, lift stations, facilities, and equipment layouts.
- Perform design calculations for pumping and related systems.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors to align specifications and timelines.
- Manage and coordinate support discipline activities across projects.
- Collaborate with regional offices and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
- Conduct quality reviews of other teams’ designs to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Design water and wastewater treatment process pumping facilities.
- Support water and wastewater process evaluation, selection, and implementation efforts.
- Select pumps and design pump stations to meet project requirements.
- Design chemical storage and feed systems associated with treatment processes.
- Produce piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID) for projects.
- Prepare specifications and contract documents for procurement and construction.
- Support construction projects through field coordination and review.
- Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master’s degree preferred).
- Five or more years of direct water and wastewater design experience.
- Design experience with lift stations, booster pump stations, and water treatment processes.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Compensation and Location
Location: Fayetteville, AR, onsite.
Salary: USD 93,641 - 113,256 per year.
