Job Description

DataAnnotation is seeking a Product Security Engineer - AI Trainer to help advance AI security capabilities through hands-on evaluation and training support. In this contract role, you will review AI-generated cybersecurity content for real-world accuracy and contribute to technical problem design that improves future AI models.

The work is fully remote, with flexible scheduling and paid hourly projects available after a short assessment. You will use your own computer to support training activities while helping shape next-generation AI systems built for cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Assess AI-generated cybersecurity content, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques, ensuring accuracy and validity.
  • Design and solve security-focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
  • Produce clear technical explanations and security-relevant code.
  • Provide feedback that directly influences the development of the next generation of AI security models.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related work, including government or military cyber operations.
  • Some coding experience is required, with comfort navigating and patching a codebase.
  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level) with strong writing skills.
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, and similar credentials.

Pay and Work Model

  • Contract position with paid hourly work.
  • Hourly rate: $50 to $100 USD.
  • Higher bonus rates may be available for certain projects.
  • Remote work available from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Flexible schedule and project selection, working on your own computer from home.
