SCADA Controls Engineer

Propersys is seeking a SCADA Controls Engineer to provide SCADA and PLC programming, support the development and integration of new systems, lead root cause analyses for failures, and assist construction engineering projects within the semiconductor industry. This onsite role is based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Develop and troubleshoot SCADA control logic for gas monitoring systems and related automation assets.
• Develop and implement project work plans, adjusting as needed to meet evolving requirements.
• Identify, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on the SCADA control system.
• Apply a general understanding of database design and stored procedures to support data management.
• Collaborate with the team to define specifications and procedures for managing instrumentation and hardware on a large-scale system.
• Support onsite visits and coordinate with construction crews and operations personnel.
• Coordinate with contractors during system installations to finalize layout in alignment with the team.
• Conduct thorough root cause analyses to diagnose and resolve failures.
• Pursue continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency across processes and systems.
• Record progress and update construction-related documentation in the construction table, maintaining quality records.
• Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards.
• Fulfill additional assignments as necessary to support project success.

Qualifications

• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of SCADA control logic and related control systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving within automation environments.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in SCADA or related fields.
• Solid mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related engineering field with SCADA experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent is a plus.
• Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English is a plus.

Compensation

Salary range: USD 65,000 to 85,000 per year.
