Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize water treatment processes to meet strict industry standards, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with customers and industry stakeholders to deliver high quality water treatment solutions and provide technical assistance for IDE products.
• Represent the company at industry events and participate in technical meetings as needed.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and relay feedback to product teams for ongoing improvements.
• Work with cross functional teams to design and refine applications.
• Monitor environmental regulations and ensure all processes comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners to support project execution and solution delivery.
• Stay current with advances in water treatment technologies and share knowledge across the organization.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field (Bachelor's degree acceptable with substantial experience).
• Five to eight years of experience in a similar role, with at least five years focused on water treatment.
• Proven experience in the design of water treatment processes and familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, plus excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with industry partners and internal teams.
• Experience as a process design engineer for small to medium water treatment plants.
• Proficiency in P&IDs and PFDs, process calculations, RO projections, and membrane selection.
• Water related calculations including pH, hardness, alkalinity, and chemical dosing calculations.
• Ability to prepare preliminary process designs for water treatment applications, particularly membrane systems, including hydraulic and line sizing calculations.
• Independent work capability and strong teamwork skills, with the ability to engage with clients and overseas offices.
