Senior Associate, Manufacturing Engineer

At L3Harris Technologies, this onsite role supports efficient, cost-effective production by strengthening manufacturing planning and process execution. You will help turn schedules into reliable output, drive continuous improvements using Lean principles, and ensure teams follow clear, documented work standards that align with industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing plans to support production schedules and defined goals.
• Partner with design and production teams to ensure new products can be manufactured effectively.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to implement improvements focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams while ensuring adherence to manufacturing plans.
• Monitor and analyze production data to optimize resource allocation and workflow.
• Support compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Engineer experience.
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related Engineer experience.
• In lieu of a degree: minimum of 6 years of prior related Engineer experience.
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with exposure to manufacturing planning.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
• Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing planning tools (for example, ERP systems).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
