Job Description
The Senior Data Engineer role focuses on developing and managing data systems, building Snowflake based data pipelines, and ensuring platform performance and scalability through close collaboration with the engineering team at Apexon.

Responsibilities
- Design, govern, and operate data assets and data systems across the organization
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle for Snowflake solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement optimal data solutions
- Maintain platform performance, uptime, and scalability while upholding high standards for code quality and thoughtful design
- Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes, document issues, and apply preventive measures
- Capable of delivering results in fast-paced environments
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience (per MIN EXPERIENCE)
- 8 to 10 years of experience designing and building data solutions in enterprise environments
- Over five years of hands-on experience with the Snowflake platform
- Proficiency in SQL and Python development
- Experience designing and developing data warehouses in Snowflake
- At least three years developing production-ready data ingestion and processing pipelines using Spark and Scala
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Informatica, and Automic
- Solid understanding of metadata management and data lineage
- Practical knowledge of SQL analytical functions
- Experience with shell scripting and Java scripting
- Familiarity with software engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and performance engineering
- Knowledge of Git, Confluence, and Jira
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
