Job Description
Senior Data Engineer opportunity in Tampa, FL onsite with Brooksource, offering $70-$75 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement reliable data pipelines, schemas, and ingestion frameworks to enable advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Design and maintain scalable data infrastructure across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Integrate SAP data sources into enterprise data platforms to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance across multiple systems and applications.
- Lead efforts to minimize data redundancy and establish a single source of truth through thoughtful data modeling and integration.
- Serve as technical lead on cross functional data projects, guiding design decisions and aligning with business goals.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Oversee database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
- Develop and enforce standards for data governance, security, and lifecycle management.
- Mentor junior data engineers and analysts, sharing best practices and supporting technical growth.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance data capabilities.
- Create and deliver training materials and documentation to support team development and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-8+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or related roles.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB).
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Experience integrating and analyzing data from SAP systems (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP ECC).
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.
