Job Description
Wells Fargo is hiring a Senior Data Engineer within its CCIBT organization, specifically the ECRT team. In this hybrid role, you will help build technology solutions that support the identification, measurement, aggregation, and reporting of counterparty credit risk across the enterprise.
Based in Charlotte, NC (hybrid), this position focuses on delivering and improving data and reporting capabilities through the full lifecycle, from design and development to testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges using an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and support client needs, including potential new client needs, while applying relevant function knowledge, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and serve as an escalation point by providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and education
- 4+ years of Python development experience
- 4+ years of SQL development and data analysis experience
- 2+ years of Power BI reporting and dashboard development experience

Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting Counterparty Credit Risk functions within Capital Markets environments
- Experience developing and supporting data visualizations using Dremio
- Java development experience
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking, collaboration, and documentation
- Experience utilizing CI/CD tools to automate build, testing, and deployment processes
- Experience working with Apache Iceberg table formats in modern data platforms
- Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot to enhance developer productivity and code quality
- Ability to utilize Agentic AI tools to design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and data solutions
Compensation and Work Location
- Location: Charlotte, NC (hybrid)
- Pay range: USD $100,000 - $196,000 per year
- Onsite requirement: Must be able to work onsite at one of the posted locations; hybrid work schedule is available
