Software Engineer

Wells Fargo is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Enterprise Risk, Audit, Finance, and Testing Technology team. In this role, you will contribute to enterprise software solutions, including agentic and Generative AI-powered applications, while working across the lifecycle from design through deployment and support.

The position is based in Charlotte, NC with an onsite expectation in line with the Wells Fargo hybrid work policy. If you have practical experience with Python, React or JavaScript, and SQL, this is an opportunity to help improve service quality and availability within the technology domain.

What you will do

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment activities within the technology domain
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability for the technology environment
• Perform design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for low to moderately complex projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
• Review and analyze technical assignments tied to low to medium risk deliverables, including researching and evaluating alternative technology approaches
• Present recommendations to resolve issues and escalate as needed to meet established service level agreements
• Use some independent judgment while building understanding of the technology domain, including security and compliance requirements
• Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Minimum qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, and/or education)
• 1+ year of Python development experience
• 1+ year of React or JavaScript experience
• 1+ year of SQL database design and development experience
• 6+ months of experience developing Gen AI solutions
