Senior Healthcare Infrastructure, Cloud & Security Engineer
Job Description
United Theranostics is seeking a hands-on Senior Healthcare Infrastructure, Cloud and Security Engineer to own the cloud, networking, systems, identity, and security foundation that underpins clinical operations. The role involves building multi-cloud infrastructure to support patient care across a HIPAA-regulated healthcare network.

Bethesda, MD onsite
Compensation
Salary: USD 120,000 - 200,000 per year
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, networking, or cloud engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to support clinical operations.
- Lead DevOps practices, automation, and reliability initiatives for infrastructure services.
- Manage enterprise networking and hybrid environments connecting on premise and cloud resources.
- Implement identity and access management including Entra ID, Active Directory, single sign on, and multi factor authentication.
- Apply cybersecurity controls within a HIPAA regulated environment to protect patient data.
- Support healthcare systems including PACS, DICOM, HL7, and FHIR interoperability.
- Oversee endpoint and device management across clinic locations.
- Design, build, and run infrastructure that directly supports patient care on a daily basis.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, networking, or cloud engineering.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Background in DevOps, cloud architecture, or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience in HIPAA or other regulated environments.
- Proven hands-on troubleshooting skills and an ownership mindset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support clinic implementations and optimization.
