Senior Lead Software Engineer - AI Engineer
Job Description
Build secure, scalable software products and architect agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows for improved delivery outcomes in Consumer & Community Banking.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex, scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks
- Write secure, production-ready code and perform reviews and debugging for team code
- Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows (with enterprise-authorized tools in the work environment) to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale
- Define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams
- Enable scalable AI workflow examples such as AI-driven PR review assistance, test generation/maintenance, release readiness checks, and incident triage with root-cause acceleration
- Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchain capabilities, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation, to increase automation value at scale
- Advise cross-functional teams on technical matters within domain expertise
- Act as the function go-to subject matter expert
- Contribute to technical methods in specialized fields aligned with latest product development methodologies
- Create durable, reusable software frameworks adopted across teams and functions
- Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams
- Help define enterprise-scale target-state AI-enabled architecture for Consumer & Community Banking solutions, supporting best-in-class and next generation customer experiences
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define roadmaps and solution architectures toward target state
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Expertise in one or more programming languages
- Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices (using enterprise-authorized tools in the work environment) across teams
- Experience setting standards for human-in-the-loop validation and auditability/traceability of changes
- Secure handling practices for sensitive data within AI-enabled development workflows
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security and resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance
- Ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to solve complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines
- Understanding of the business
- Practical cloud-native experience
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with in-depth expertise in one or more disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)

Location: Plano, TX (onsite)
Compensation: USD 152,000 - 225,000 per yearly
