Job Description

HP is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that address complex problems and improve business processes. This onsite role in Spring, TX focuses on taking models from selection and training through optimization, validation, monitoring, and integration into production systems.

In this position, you will work across the ML lifecycle, partner with business and analytics stakeholders to translate data needs into technical approaches, and collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment. You will also contribute to ongoing research in AI and machine learning while keeping pace with the latest technology updates.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and program integrated software solutions that support the development, deployment, and life cycle of machine learning models.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and monitoring systems in distributed computing environments.
  • Define collection protocols, analyze data sources, and develop/train/evaluate models, including creating visualizations of data properties and model performance.
  • Establish and optimize scalable processes for large-scale data operations to drive ML product improvements.
  • Partner with business and analytics teams to convert data requirements into technical solutions grounded in machine learning principles.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate models into production systems and automate deployment processes.
  • Validate, communicate, and monitor delivery of customer requirements for AI/ML solutions.
  • Participate in cutting-edge research for artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
  • Stay current with advancements in machine learning and related technologies.
  • Manage and maintain the compute cluster environment for hosting and serving ML models, including capacity planning, performance monitoring, resource allocation, system reliability, and operational support.

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline (or commensurate work experience and demonstrated competence).
  • Typically 7 to 10 years of work experience, preferably involving computer programming languages, machine learning, algorithms, statistical methods, or a related field.

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay range: $147,050 to $230,850 USD per year
