Senior Power & Controls Engineer

Austin, TX onsite role with an engineering consulting firm that is 100% employee owned and recognized across the US and Canada. This Senior Power & Controls Engineer position supports low to medium voltage electrical work for industrial and municipal facilities, with compensation in the range of $125,000 to $170,000 per year. Employees also benefit from full health coverage plus retirement support, along with paid OT and performance-based pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering services and consulting for low to medium voltage power systems in industrial and municipal facilities
• Lead planning, design management, project management, and design management activities for low to medium voltage systems
• Prepare client deliverables for municipal work, including reports, plans, P&IDs, and specifications
• Develop and interpret one-line diagrams and support power distribution design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• 10 to 15 years of experience designing and developing power distribution diagrams for low to medium voltage industrial or municipal systems
• Strong background in design management and project management for Power and Control system projects
• Experience evaluating voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and short circuit currents across facilities of varying scale
• Master’s degree in Electrical / I&C Engineering (plus)
