Senior Procurement Engineer

Compensation

• Hourly rate: USD 65 - 72

Responsibilities

• Support Nuclear Operating Plant obsolescence programs as a Senior Procurement Engineer within the Procurement Engineering and Maintenance Optimization team.
• Develop engineering solutions addressing obsolescence for commercial nuclear power plant systems and components.
• Guide utility clients through program implementation, technical evaluations, and compliance strategies to support operations and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit engineering documentation.
• Conduct Item Equivalency Evaluations.
• Assemble Commercial Grade Dedication packages.
• Classify materials in the Material Master.
• Resolve Procurement Engineering holds.
• Operate within project constraints to meet delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to elevate capabilities across Nuclear Power Plant Technology.
• Provide technical oversight to project managers and leadership.
• Present recommendations to client fleet or station leadership to obtain agreement and approval of deliverables.
• Mentor other engineering team members and client project personnel.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil or related discipline).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear power, manufacturing, or related industry; 7+ years preferred.
• Advanced degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Prior unescorted security clearance authorization to work onsite at a Commercial Nuclear Facility.
• Current or prior qualifications to utility Procurement Engineering Program.
