Senior Security Engineer role in Pasadena, CA with an onsite focus, building and enhancing SIEM capabilities for a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve the organization’s SIEM infrastructure
- Strengthen log collection, detection, and alerting
- Support data protection capabilities across the environment
- Investigate security incidents across cloud, network, and endpoint areas
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams
- Translate security metrics into clear reporting
Requirements
- 5+ years in security engineering, with a strong focus on operating and improving SIEM platforms
- Experience engineering logging infrastructure, including ingestion, performance, and tuning correlation rules and alerts
- Hands-on Linux skills plus practical scripting or automation to improve security operations
- Experience with DLP, data classification, or DSPM, along with network, firewall, and endpoint security knowledge
- Ability to investigate incidents, partner with application and infrastructure teams, and produce clear reporting from security metrics
