Senior Software Engineer

Cotiviti supports the delivery of reliable software across its product suite, and this role helps keep existing applications and components performing at a high standard. You will collaborate with senior developers, offshore teams, business stakeholders, and project management while contributing to issue resolution, performance and availability improvements, documentation, and execution across the Software Development Lifecycle.

Location: Remote (remote)
Compensation: USD 111,000 - 150,000 per year
Experience: 4+ years
Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance high-quality software modules for the Cotiviti product suite
• Analyze and resolve software-related issues reported by internal and external customers
• Document specifications, design, features, and application operation prior to production rollouts
• Apply proficient working knowledge in the primary discipline and build knowledge across related disciplines
• Execute enhancements focused on improving performance and availability
• Communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner
• Ensure technology standards are followed while developing systems
• Explore new ideas and contribute innovations that improve efficiency and results
• Continuously improve knowledge of new technologies as selected and integrated into the product suite
• Execute appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on continuous improvement
• Mentor other developers
• Complete responsibilities outlined on the annual Performance Plan
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BS or MS Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Optimization and tuning experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• 4-5 years of experience with Java or Python
• 4-5 years of experience with third-party platforms such as Appian and Cloudera Hadoop
• 4-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, and Hive
• 4-5 years of experience with web services using Java/Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices (preferred)
• Proficiency working with large data sets
