Job Description

LiveView Technologies is building an Agentic AI platform that relies on production-grade backend services. In this onsite role in American Fork, UT, you will serve as an individual contributor on a team that designs, delivers, and operates the microservices, APIs, and orchestration layers that power agent workflows.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will set expectations for code quality, tackle complex production incidents with root-cause analysis, and help strengthen engineering practices across the team through mentoring and technical feedback.

What you will do

  • Design and ship high-performance Go microservices and APIs that form the backbone of LVT’s Agentic AI platform.
  • Build and evolve infrastructure for orchestrating agent workflows, including tool integration, state management, and event-driven processing of site data.
  • Optimize service architecture for platform scale by improving API latency, concurrency, and database query performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to translate feature requests into technical specifications, estimates, and timely releases.
  • Raise code quality using rigorous unit and integration testing, constructive code reviews, and thorough technical documentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production defects while protecting uptime and data integrity.
  • Mentor engineers with practical technical guidance and feedback that improves team effectiveness.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and developer tooling to increase delivery speed and reliability.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience shipping production-level microservices and APIs.
  • 2+ years of hands-on backend experience in Go, with strong concurrency fundamentals, idiomatic design, and performance tuning.
  • Experience building or integrating LLM-powered or agent-based systems, including tool calling, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled APIs, or a strong drive to grow quickly in this area.
  • Hands-on experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs (OpenAPI), gRPC, and/or GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with containerized workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools, plus cloud-native and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Practical experience with relational databases (SQL) and schema design optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of solving complex technical problems as requirements evolve.
  • Commitment to clean code, thorough testing, and maintainable software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and the agility to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
